U-S-M subscribe to the principles of privacy as Outlined in the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development’s (OECD) Guidelines on the Protection of Privacy and Transborder Flows of Personal Data developed in 1980. Specifically, our guidelines are based on the European Unions’ principles of privacy and the National Privacy Principles (NPP) as outlined in the Australian Government’s Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000/2001. |

Non personal, site visit information |

As a standard feature, U-S-M web sites do capture and store information relating to anonymous visits to out web sites. This information includes and is limited to, the date of visit, page of visit, referring URL, the IP address of the visit. This information is usually stored for a period no longer than 12 months and is used for site usage analysis and security analysis.

The limited use of cookies |

U-S-M relies upon a user's machine allowing the function of cookies for the limited purpose of essential validation for the sole purpose of a unique visit. U-S-M web sites do not encourage or promote the use of permanent javascript or asp cookies (stored on users machines).

Personal information |

In general, you can visit U-S-M web sites without telling us who you are and without revealing any information about yourself. There are times, however, when we may need information from you.
In the case of contact correspondance initiated by a user from the web site, personal information is generally restricted to information required to adequately answer a question, and/or provide a service.
In the case of partners(customers), personal information is restricted to information required to adequately provide services, validate the authenticity of authorised users and provide regular correspondance electronically. |

All personal information gathered through the course of communication through our web sites is stored securely on password protected databases, accessible only by the individual users, specific staff charged with responsibility for providing services and administration staff.

Accessibility and accuracy of personal information |

It is a policy of U-S-M that any person who has corresponded with U-S-M has the right to view all data held on them and request for part or all of this information to be deleted if requested. U-S-M believes this is a beneficial practice in that users having access rights to their information may also ensure the accuracy and quality of information stored. This is accomplished by providing users with a password identity to access our secure password protected partner service site.

Non disclosure to third parties |

It is a policy of U-S-M that all personal information gathered from individuals shall remain in trust and shall not be divulged to any third party without the express permission and consent of the individual.
The expected and limited examples of where this may occur is when a customer requests a service such as a seminar or product that is provided by a third party and supported by U-S-M. In each of these instances, the purpose and disclosure nature of the information shall be clearly identified prior to requesting any information from the user. |
